What do I need to use Castaway?

Castaway requires an Apple Vision Pro, a USB capture card, and either an iPad with a USB-C port or a Mac.

What's a USB capture card?

A USB capture card is a device that allows you to convert video and audio signals from various sources (like cameras, gaming consoles, or other video output devices) into a digital format that your computer can recognize and process. The most popular capture card is the Elgato Cam Link, but generic, less expensive versions are also available.

I can't hear anything!

Audio streaming is not yet supported, but will be added in a future update.

Castaway is lagging!

Try lowering the bitrate or FPS, and ensure your device is nearby and on a stable internet connection.
